Lessons you learn as you get older.

Age is a high price to pay for wisdom, frequent reader of my blog would have heard me use that phrase before. It’s true though another year older does mean another year wiser.

There are lessons you learn with age that you would have never known before, getting older is not a bad thing but I think the most amazing thing we learn is the importance of time. When to go fast and when to go slow, people always go fast with the wrong things and too slow when they shouldn’t. One thing I’m never in a rush to do is get into a relationship, to be quite honest I was never ever in a rush to. I want to get to know the person and hear everything they have to say, their views on life and their views on people, I look out for people who are always blaming somebody else for something that didn’t turn out right. I never force any guy into a relationship, I maintain my individuality and I worry when I meet a guy who moves too fast. If he’s in a hurry to get into a relationship, then I know he will be in a hurry to get out and I pretty much see him moving on even quicker, give me a guy who isn’t afraid to go slow and I’ll be fine.
I hate getting into temporary relationships and I see so many temporary relationships all around me, this week its a picture of you and this guy on Facebook, then you break up a month later and by the middle of the next month it’s another guy. It’s like you have a public dating profile for people to go see.

Lie to your friends about your private life, yes I said it any friend you know for less than five years you can’t be sure of their loyalty. I have a rule if we didn’t go to Prep school or High school together, and experience those awkward years together, then I’m going to keep you at a distance and I’m ready to drop you at the first sign of fakery. People don’t need to know the intricate details of your life, skim the top off for them and make it all flowers and rainbows, if they see you crying tell them its tears of joy.

Do all you can in your youth and enjoy the rest of it when you get old, Youth is one of the most precious gift, do as many and as much as you can when your young don’t slow down because someone says you have to. You will have to slow down one day against your will, so while you still have your will at your beck and call, full speed ahead.

Have a great weekend everyone.
